Adelle Kazanovitz Ponneck was born in Chicago, Ill. in the year 1922. She was a woman with a fiery personality. She had a keen wit, a strong intellect, and a cutting edge sense of humor. She was the “boss”, there was no questions asked. As much as she was the hot blooded, in your face warrior woman, she was equally if not more, the loving, sensitive and compassionate mother and grandmother.

Adelle had a sizzling sense of humor. When she started telling jokes and stories, she would have the room in stiches. She had a bit of the entertainer in her. When it came to love and protecting her children, no one was more committed and present then Adelle. All those who had the opportunity to meet and get to know Adelle were fortunate indeed. She stayed with us on this planet for 95 years. She has now let go of her earthly holds and we pray that she has now rejoined that poolroom hustling, clothes hording, handsome, double of Tyrone Power; her one true love, Irving Ponneck.

Adelle Ponneck leaves behind her son Bar Ponneck, her loving and caring daughter Karen Rotstein, her selfless, compassionate son-in-law Steve Rotstein, her grandchildren Erin, Dustin, Zachary, & Noah, and her very special loves her Great Grandsons Orion and Rowan. There are so many other relatives and friends that have been touched by the love and generosity of this woman who’s “everyday wisdom” was carried within their hearts. Adelle Ponneck is the matriarch for this extended family.

Farewell Mom, enjoy your time with Dad, and be with Hashem!
