Alan John David Evans departed the life unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, January 24, 2018. Beloved son and only child, he is survived by his parents, David James and Victoria Evans, nee Gehman, and his daughter, Camille LeAnne Evans, his greatest love.
Born February 2, 1978, in Texas City, Texas, Alan spent his infancy in Palm Bay, Florida. The family relocated to Reno, NV in 1979, where Alan excelled in sports, winning downhill skiing awards, gymnastics tournaments and speed skating contests. Musically talented, he began violin at age four. By his early teens, he became proficient in tenor saxophone, trombone and his greatest love, drums.
The family moved to Petaluma in 1991. His major passion was music, and he worked regularly in the Bay Area as a mixologist in his late teens and early 20s. He continued to create music, a high point being the summer of 2008, spent drumming on the beach in Venice, CA.
Alan also worked in numerous areas, excelling at any position involving humor and salesmanship. A loyal, devoted friend, he was a kind and generous man who always tried to help others. He spent the last day of his life helping his mother until late evening.
Alan’s loss creates a deep void in the lives of his parents, daughter and all who loved and were loved by him. Our consolation is that his soul has re-entered the light and lives in God’s eternal Being.
A Memorial Service will be held at on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11AM at Adobe Creek Funeral Home 331 Lakeville Street, Petaluma, CA. His ashes will be interred in the family’s cemetery plot in Booneville, Arkansas.
