Growing up when we would go to visit uncle Ellis and aunt Billie I knew fun times were about to begin . Uncle Ellis would always great me with his big smile and say how are yah Mike . As kids we would come to visit and sometimes I would spend a few day or a week or so. Me Stan Wane and Janet always found adventure exploring near by fields like the one down from the house in Visalia. As an adult when I would see uncle Ellis he always had a little wisdom to pass on to me. I am sorry he had to leave us so soon. Uncle Ellis we love you and miss you. Mike and Margaret

I have so many wonderful memories.. I remember great family gatherings at uncle Ellis Home in Novato. My parents and I were there at least every other weekend, it seamed like.. It was always great fun and he loved me like I was one of his own children. But he loved everyone and everyone loved him. He had a big heart and a big love for family. I always loved to watch him pitch horseshoes. I always wanted to be that good. He would say “I’ll see what I can do” then take his opponent right out of the game. Then he would say “ I got lucky”. I loved him very much and will miss him Terribly. Like Ed said he was always ready to roll up his sleaves and help with anything. Typical of the Vaughn family never afraid of work. Wow. As I sit here and write this I realize I could go on and on forever. story’s and memorys his wonderful smile his great hugs always there with a bit of wit and if he had information that could help you out he was willing to share it. Uncle Ellis I will miss you always, and love you eternally God rest your soul.

Dad that day when I woke you up for dinner you tried to tell me something but I didn’t understand what you were saying and I’m sorry I wished I would’ve tried a little harder to understand your words. I still can’t believe you’re gone, and I’m never going to see that smile again the house feels so empty without you now. God has a Great Warrior by his side I also know that you’ve earned your angel wings And badge for touching so many lives. and helping so many people. You were a great Dad and a great friend to a lot of people. You will be dearly missed I hope you’re happy in heaven, Have your pains and your fears gone away and can you breathe better than ever before. Are you playing ball in the street like we used too. And are you driving your 1949 Mercury again. I sure hope so and I hope these are your happy days for you to live again you are my hero and I miss you so

I am truly blessed to be the daughter of Ellis and Billie Vaughn. One of seven children for which I am balanced in the middle with two older brothers and one younger brother, one older sister and two younger sisters. I have always thought that was really cool. Along with having the best parents ever, what more could I ask for. On behalf of my family I would like to thank each and every one of you for your love and support, it has been pretty constant over the last few years with the loss of many family members and various medical challenges for our family. Well I look at this as a blessing, one you get from having such a large and loving family. I realized that as a family unit we all have our rolls that help us get through things like this. So I would like to personally share how grateful I am for all of my family, it took all of us supporting each other to get through this most difficult time. The love and support that my family has showed both my mom and my dad has truly touched my heart. This would not be complete if I did not mention Pini Ace Hardware, some of you will think about this and laugh," Pini has that" or "you can get that at Pini's" which is something I say every chance I get. Let me tell you what you can get from Pini's, unconditional love of family, compassion, and support. This family owned company has been a blessing to me and my whole family. Chip Young and his sons Tom, Russell, and David have given me the opportunity to support my family in every way I needed, and if that wasn't enough they also encouraged me to take time for myself too. I will be forever grateful for all the blessing in my life. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and memories with us, it will be a treasure for all of us. Karen
