CHARLES WEBSTER NOBLE
July 6, 1943 – December 10, 2017

Charles (Chuck) Noble passed away peacefully at his home on December 10, 2017, holding the hand of his beloved wife, Susan. He was born on July 6, 1943 to Charles T. and Shirley (Webster) Noble in Niles, Michigan, where he grew up.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, his three sons: Scot of Killeen, TX, Gregory of Kalamazoo, MI, John of Royal Palm Beach, FL; his daughter, Andrea of Oregon, WI; and a stepson, Jeff Young of Harrisburg, OR. Chuck has 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Chuck, as he liked to be known, had a zest for life and loved to “go places and do things”. His two favorite things he loved most was golfing and fishing. He grew up on a golf course and enjoyed playing most of his life, and had a bass fishing boat that he loved to go out on either alone, with a friend or his son, Greg.

Chuck moved to the San Francisco bay area in 1977 after a business trip brought him here. He fell in love with the area and moved here without ever looking back. He has been a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks since the age of 21, inducted by his father who served as state president for Michigan. Chuck has served as Exalted Ruler at two lodges in Marin County, and served as State Vice President for the Northwest District. What he enjoyed most about being an Elk was the people and their commitment, the annual Ritual Competition, and all the charities and people he worked with throughout his many years with the organization.

Chuck met his wife, Susan (Young), at the Open Door Church in Novato they both started to attend simultaneously. They just celebrated their 18th anniversary on October 23. Susan was the love of his life, his best friend and his soul mate. He was a devout Christian who was loved by many, and was a loving husband, father and Grampa.

Chuck retired from his career of commercial glass sales after over 40 years and was known by his customers, as well as his friends, as a trusted man of integrity in all areas of his life.

Please join his friends and family in a “Celebration of Life” service at Calvary Chapel, located at 1955 So. McDowell Blvd., Petaluma, on Friday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Chuck. The link for donations of the ADA is:
