Dee, Mary Jane, my mother Betty Keith and I ate dinner together most evenings here at B*nai B*rith. She had a great sense of humor and a great friend. Dee and I shared a great love of reading. She was one of the kindest people I have ever met and she will be truly missed. Please accept my sincere condolences and may you find strength in your memories.

Dear Seward family. I am so sorry to have read of the death of Dorothy. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4. These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones as well as do away with all causes we have for suffering, including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my hope that these thoughts will comfort your family also.

Louise called the other day and told me that Dee had passed away. This immediately brought feelings, feelings of remembering a very kind and caring friend. I never knew why Dee was always so friendly and welcoming to me, she just was. To me, she was kindness. We are now spread over the nation but at times like this I feel close to you all and extend feelings of love to you. Henry

It was with great sadness that I read of the passing of "Grandma Dee". She was such a kind and delightful soul. I have fond memories of time spent with her and conversations we had and chance encounters in Peoria. I know that she will be sorely missed by all of her family and friends and that our lives will be a little less complete without her. She was a truly lovely lady.
