Ed, a longtime Congressional political advisor, former Peace Corps Associate and Regional Director, and author of his memoir, “Every Moment a Living Memory: 25 years in Peace Corps-25 years in Politics,” was surrounded by his loving family when he died from complications of Inclusion Body Myositis. Ed is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet; children: Jeanne Slevin, Cammie Noah (Hope), Maureen Seydel (Fred), Jill Healy (Mike); his grandchildren: Cameron, Mikaela (Miles), Brian (Heidi), Nathan (Jessica), Jana (Logan), and Casey (Andrea); four great-grandchildren: Claire, Carter, Amelia, and Kevin; his sister Trish Slevin Mantoani (Glenn) and family; many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins; and so many dear and treasured friends from across the nation?all of us recipients of a copy of his 549-page book, thus the short obituary. A funeral Mass for Ed will be held on Saturday, January 27 at 10:30 am, St. Vincent Church, 1 Saint Vincent Dr., San Rafael, CA. Reception immediately following.
