Dear Silvana, Fred was one of the "good ones"! His heart and his soul were always in the right place. He loved you dearly, that I know. He went too soon, his body just gave up the inevitable, too much illness to live a life with you the way he wanted to live it. So he went home to be with his maker early to allow you to be someone other than a bedside companion for the rest of your life. He wanted you to be free of his pain. I know he wants you to live your life. Honor him by doing that. But first you have to heal. Be well Fred... and Stella... They went together so you would know he wouldn't be alone on the journey.

I am so sorry for your loss. I never met Fred but if you picked him, I'm sure he was one of the good ones. Remember the good times and they will comfort you until you meet again. RIP Fred.

Thank you for taking care of silvana all these years. So happy that you'd found each other. So sad you had to leave this world so soon. But I know that you are no longer in pain and you and stella are together. I remember you and I sitting on the fire escape in Silvana's SF flat, smoking! I remember that sylvester was dying and how sad you both were. The compassion you showed for your animals and your wife was celebretory. Rest in peach fred, rest in peace and to anyone listening - hold silvana's hand and assure her that she will persevere. She's dealt with so much loss over the years and been so strong through them all. Tell her its ok to grieve and embrace her.

Fred made me laugh. He made others laugh too. He will be greatly missed, but I know he's out of pain, and fought a courageous battle. May he rest in eternal peace with his beloved cat, and those whom he loved, that proceeded him.

Silvana, out of all the years I've known you and flown the friendly skies with you. I could see that you and Fred had a strong love bond. Cherish all the lovely memories and hold them dear to your heart. Know that our heavenly father loves you and will give you peace and comfort during this rough time. Praying for your strength. Love and blessings to you.

In his own quiet way, Fred lightened everyones spirits with his wit and warmth. He was kind and generous to the needy and disadvantaged he met along the way. Now, I'm sure he is helping the angels....and entertaining them!
