One of his assignments was to the hazardous Helicopter Support Team. During this time in Viet Nam Paul was exposed to Agent Orange which ultimately caused his death. Upon returning home Paul enrolled in UC Berkeley and earned a BA in Political Science in 1975. After earning his degree he went to Europe for a year. He spent much time in France as he spoke excellent French. Paul loved to read Baudelaire’s Les Fleurs du Mal. For years Paul was a docent at the de Young Museum and the Legion of Honor.
