Peter Dorian McCarthy passed away peacefully on June, 28th, 2018 with his loving children by
his side. Peter is survived by his daughter Shelly (Keith), his son Joe (Dina), and five beautiful
grandchildren, Malorie, Austin, Trevor, Taya, and Mattie. Also survived by his sister, Paulette
Hobbs, and his brother, Corey Stack. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Stack and
his brother, Terry Stack.

Peter was born on November 11, 1946 in San Francisco, California. He spent many years in the
Bay Area where he started his family and worked hard as a truck driver for Golden Gate
Trucking. Around 1976, Peter relocated his family to Sonoma County, where he became a
general contractor for the next 35 plus years. Even in retirement, Peter was the epitome of a Mr.
Fixit, he could fix anything and was always there to help whoever needed it. In his spare time,
he loved to cook and he was amazing at it. However, what he loved most in this world were his
kids and grandkids. He put his family first. His son Joe and daughter Shelly were his pride and
joy. He was so proud of their accomplishments and at the top of that list are his grandchildren.
He lived to spend time with his grandchildren, from seeing every game and competition, to
cooking them their favorite goodies, teaching them life skills, and having inside jokes (he had an
incredible sense of humor) and special handshakes. He was the best father and grandfather
anyone could ask for and he will be dearly missed.

The family will be having a private celebration of life at a later date.
