Brother Richard K. Miller was born on April 28, 1963 to the union of Shirley Miller and the late Arthur Miller, Jr. He accepted Christ early in life by the late Reverend E. Paul Perkins and then later by Pastor Rondall Legget, Sr. of First Missionary Baptist Church.

Richard Graduated from Tamalpais High School and he attended College of Marin. He was a member of the Culinary Ministry at First Missionary Baptist Church. He learned how to cook several delicious meals while serving with Donnie Roary and other members of the culinary ministry. He loved every minute of it! He used what he learned and prepared meals for family and friends who just happened to stop by the house. He always had a snack to give his nephews and nieces, or he would take them for a ride in the car to visit family and friends, and then stop for a meal. The kids loved it and so did he. Richard worked several jobs over the years. The one he loved the best was his most recent driving service that he did for the past nine years.

Richard will be greatly missed. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Mrs. Shirley Miller (late Arthur Miller, Jr.), son, Recale Miller, grandson Ja’Vann Miller, sister Meritta Scott (Larry), brother Randal K. Miller (Lily), brother Derick Hopson (Wanda), niece Aneitra Scott, nephew Larry Scott, Jr. (Teri), nephew Davon Scott, Sr. (Nakeina), nephew Chris Hackett, niece Asha Hopson, aunt Lois Neal (Walter), aunt Cherlyn Hall, aunt Verna Bynum, aunt Grace Watson, aunt Marilyn Guillory (Johnathan), aunt Rosa Mary Miller, 13 great nieces and nephews, 1 step-great niece, 1 step-great nephew and a host of cousins, relatives, friends and acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his father the late Arthur Miller, Jr., brothers Ronald K. Miller and Roderick K. Miller, grandparents Richard Clifford Hall and Lee Ester Hall, grandparents Arthur Miller, Sr. and Valery Miller and step-grandmother Coetter Miller, aunt Delores Woods, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

One of Richard’s favorite sayings was, “Thank God!” Richard, we all “Thank God” for having the opportunity to have known you. You are loved. You will be missed.
